The Fremont Veterans Park honors all those who have served, are now serving, and who will serve this country. Visitors are welcomed by the great American flag, a large hexagonal American war memorial, and six engraved stones to honor the branches of the military. Each side of the center memorial remembers the wars America fought, and each side shows a detailed, engraved depiction of the war at the bottom. Sitting on top is an eagle. The military branch stones show an engraved picture of a soldier in uniform on the front and a branch-related picture on the back. Behind the war memorial is a soldier kneeling in front of a Battle Cross — a cross with a fallen soldier’s boots, helmet and rifle.
